The Library Salon ROSSIO DE PRATE
3 minutes walk from Hotel Hana Koyado, the Salon at the sister inn Tousen Goshoboh features a soothing window view on the Taki river and some gorgeous cherry blossom trees. An interior that boasts a beautifully aged wooden structure made of pine and teak, embellished with antique decor from the collection of Mr. Kanai Shirobe (the 13th ) from the Meiji and Taisho periods, and some quirky elements passionately collected from trips around the world. The result is a harmonious blend of East and West, reflecting the cultural melt of Arima Onsen, which was during the Meiji and Taisho eras, one of the first and most frequented hot-spring resort destinations by the early western visitors. The library salon was then a dancing lounge where music was played, and where Goshoboh guests were invited to dance and socialize. The space hasn’t changed much even after the destructive Kobe earthquake in 1938. Today, it is a place where guests can enjoy a morning coffee, an afternoon tea, or an early appetizer. It is also a concert and event space during summer, Christmas and other seasonal occasions.
